Short Story Workshop Set

This will be a unique opportunity for anyone interested in writing short stories. Each participant - during the course of the workshop - will write his or her own short story.

Jory Sherman, who has published more than 500 short stories in his long and storied career, will teach the course, and offer individual help to encourage and enable each person to complete his or her own story.

The course will be held on four consecutive Saturdays: January 21 and 28, and February 4 and 11, 2006 from 10 a.m. until 12 noon. Computers will be provided, or a person may bring a laptop, to facilitate the writing.

The workshop will be held in the new Northeast Texas Community College building, one block off US 271 on Daingerfield Street (Highway 11), in Pittsburg. Class size will be limited to ensure personal attention for each student, and also to ensure that each participant has a computer. So register early to insure a spot in this worthwhile class.

The fee for this course is $40 for registrations through January 5, 2006. After January 5, the fee is $50. For students 18 and under, the fee is $35. (If the registration fee prevents you from participating, please contact NETWO at: netwomail@netwo.org and ask about some partial scholarships.)
